English Courses For Primary Students

Our core feature of English courses for kids is the diversity of linguistic contexts that are created in the classroom. As a result this enables effective practice and real use of English. The topics proposed answer to the age and interests of the child. Moreover, they are designed to develop academic and functional aspects of the language. In addition, these topics include a high educational aspect in social values, respect for the environment and along with the use of new technologies.

The proposed activities tend to have a playful and communicative approach, furthermore our modern classrooms present opportunity for linguistic games and performances. At the same time, it is at this stage we introduce the use of the textbook as a tool for reading and understanding written English.

Monitoring

The monitoring and evaluation of each student is continuous. This takes place on completion of each curriculum unit through different assessments and activities planned for students so we can monitor progression easily. Additionally, if at any stage of the learning process we identify a student the requires extra support we inform parents and provide this in an effective way.

We use a simple and effective 4 stage marking system, as a result all students are graded between 0 – 10 on completion of each unit. An overall grade out of 10 is given at the end of the academic year, moreover students must attain a minimum score in order to progress to the next level. By reviewing their grade on a monthly basis, thus enabling us to intervene at the earliest possibility to provide additional support and guidance when necessary.

Families receive two assessment reports during the school year, one in January and another in June, as a result these are delivered through the school APP for parents to view and download anytime.

English Courses For Infantil Students

A main feature of the English courses for kids is the immersion that our students receive. Consequently, from the outset it allows the ability to capture the natural and intuitive, basic structures of English. As well as the correct pronunciation. In addition the proposed activities revolve around games and children’s literature. Thus providing basic concepts for the coming years. As a result ensuring we build a solid foundation that leads our students to be communicatively competent in English.

Monitoring

The monitoring and evaluation of our students throughout the learning process is continuous, therefore allowing us to make decisions when required to strengthen and expand the content they have achieved in order to become linguistically competent in English. Families receive an evaluation report at the end of the course.

Summer Extension For Kids

As summer arrives, we offer our English Summer course in July for kids. This is available for both current students of the school. As well as anyone who would like to participate and enjoy English classes during July. Moreover, for all our current students the inscription is FREE!

Details

The curriculum created for summer is based on activities and projects designed with a two-fold emphasis. Firstly, to consolidate the level achieved during the past academic year. Secondly, it is designed to build on their current level and better prepare them for the coming September courses. We prepare these courses to be completed by our students in a fun and relaxed environment. As a result, we use themes which also include cross-curricular activities.

In addition, the proposed projects have added value to the learning of English. Therefore, dealing with a strictly thematic curriculum where students learn to learn English through the contents of various school subjects.
