World Poetry Day

A Poem About Spanish Students Learning English

As we celebrate World Poetry Day today, our teachers have come together to create a unique poem for all Spanish students that are learning English.

Spanish students, young and bright

With eagerness, they learn with might

Their tongues twist and turn, as they try

To speak this language, foreign and spry

With pens and papers, they take note

Grammar rules, they try to quote

Their eyes widen, as they discover

New words and phrases, to uncover

Their accents may be quite unique

But their efforts are strong and sleek

They practice, day and night

To make their English, clear and bright

They dream of travelling afar

To communicate, with no bar

To understand, and be understood

To speak English, just as they should

Spanish students, learning fast

Their passion for English, built to last

On this World Poetry Day, let’s all say

Viva la educación, and may they continue to sway!

Happy World Poetry Day Everyone
